\nThis popular Street Burner\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 model was previously released three other times by Revell\u00c2\u00ae. The original Chevelle\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 was produced starting with 1964 model year. It was GM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00c2\u00ae answer to the Ford\u00c2\u00ae Fairlane. The 1967 Chevelle\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 was the last year of the big body. With this model you can bring back a part of the muscle car era in your own way.<\/p>\n

\nAccording to Revell\u00c2\u00ae this skill level 2 kit features 113 pieces with an opening hood with a detailed 396 cu. in. V-8 engine, a choice of a stock or lowered suspension, optional stock rally wheels or large-diameter custom wheels with disc brake detail, soft black tires, chrome-plated parts and decals with stock and custom graphics.<\/p>\n

\nThe top and bottom radiator hoses need to be put\u00c2\u00a0in with\u00c2\u00a0tweezers. The carburetor was put into Drano\u00c2\u00ae and stripped of the chrome plating and painted gold.<\/p>\n

\nHere\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a word of caution regarding the lower radiator hose. This should be installed before the front suspension is put in place, if not, the lower radiator hose will be difficult to install.<\/p>\n

\nAs shown here the beauty ring to center cap needs to be painted silver to dull it so that it looks like an actual rim.<\/p>\n

\nThe door panels need to be drilled out so that the arm rests can be put in.<\/p>\n

\nThe instrument panel was painted to match the original auto\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s instrument panel. The gages are decals that come with the kit and the black was done with Krylon\u00c2\u00ae Satin Black to give it an authentic look.<\/p>\n

\nThis is the completed interior which was done in Krylon\u00c2\u00ae Satin Burgundy to match the leather look in the original car.\u00c2\u00a0 It also goes well with the black on the body and \"DSCN1379\"<\/a>
\nitwould have been an actual exterior\/ interior order item.<\/p>\n

\nThe body was painted with Color Place\u00c2\u00ae gloss black to match one of the colors that would have come on the original car. The grill, hood vents and side molding were painted with\u00c2\u00a0Tamiya Color X-18 semi gloss black acrylic paint to fill in the vents and a toothpick was used to scrape away the black that was on the chrome to bring out the chrome again leaving the inside of the vents black. Additionally, the headlights, windshield, side glass, and back glass\u00c2\u00a0were\u00c2\u00a0assembled\u00c2\u00a0using Testors clear parts cement & window maker. The window trim was painted with a fine tipped brush and a toothpick\u00c2\u00a0using a bottle of\u00c2\u00a0Testors 1146 silver enamel.<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0This was a fun kit to build and brought back the memories from those muscle car\u00c2\u00a0era\u00c2\u00a0glory days.<\/p>\n
