The original Chevelle\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 was produced starting with 1964 model year. It was GM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00c2\u00ae answer to the Ford\u00c2\u00ae Fairlane. The 1967 Chevelle\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 was the last year of the big body. The grill, hood vents and side molding were painted with\u00c2\u00a0Tamiya Color X-18 semi gloss black acrylic paint to fill in the vents and a toothpick was used to scrape away the black that was on the chrome to bring out the chrome again leaving the inside of the vents black. Additionally, the headlights, windshield, side glass, and back glass\u00c2\u00a0were\u00c2\u00a0assembled\u00c2\u00a0using Testors clear parts cement &amp; window maker.
