There are 111 pieces molded in white, chrome and clear rated a skill level 2. It has a nice decal sheet with engine labels, speedo gauges and name plate emblems and redline or white wall tire options. A clear direction sheet with good views and options are included. This review includes some great information that you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll need to consider to get a good fit for the windows glass and some finishing tips to really make this model stand out.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a2 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5673810015\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5024\/5673810015_1ed612bdb8.jpg\" alt=\"a2\" width=\"500\" height=\"311\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#2 This was a nice, clean kit with hardly any flashing and very little clean up.\u00c2\u00a0 The die lines from the roof to the quarters were the only areas that needed to be addressed.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a4 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5674378334\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5183\/5674378334_5b6344bb36.jpg\" alt=\"a4\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#4 First clean up the die marks from the roof to the quarters, right and left.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a5 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5673810075\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5065\/5673810075_555c9c7c9f.jpg\" alt=\"a5\" width=\"500\" height=\"369\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#5 Some 600 grit sand paper with a light touch will take them out easily.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a6 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5673810125\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5106\/5673810125_7018176ae9.jpg\" alt=\"a6\" width=\"500\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#6 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always a good idea to use a finer grit sand paper after clean up.\u00c2\u00a0 1000 grit sand paper can be used for the final step.\u00c2\u00a0 This will help prevent the need for a lot of wet sanding after priming.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a7 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5674378440\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5305\/5674378440_bc3ab2832b.jpg\" alt=\"a7\" width=\"500\" height=\"213\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#7 The body was painted with Duplicolor\u00c2\u00ae products.\u00c2\u00a0 First, a good even coat of white primer was applied.\u00c2\u00a0 This was allowed to dry for a couple hours in a warm place.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, three coats of Deep Jewel Green\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 were put on, each coat a little heavier\u00c2\u00a0 than the previous coat, 30-40 minutes allowed between coats.\u00c2\u00a0 3-4 hours of dry time were given after the last color coat.\u00c2\u00a0 Two coats of Crystal Clear\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 were then applied with 30-40 minutes between coats and the second coat a little heavier than the first.\u00c2\u00a0 This was then allowed to dry 24 hours.\u00c2\u00a0 The wheels were given the same treatment. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s obvious that there are white lines around the door jams, trunk and other feature lines.\u00c2\u00a0 This was not on purpose and was left to show what not to do.\u00c2\u00a0 A darker color sealer should have been used, or semi gloss black should have been applied first.\u00c2\u00a0 The lines would not have shown through then.\u00c2\u00a0 This was a major \u00e2\u20ac\u0153brain fart\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for the builder.\u00c2\u00a0 When painting a dark color, do not use a light color primer.\u00c2\u00a0 Even experienced builders have moments where they forget what they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve learned.\u00c2\u00a0 It is repairable if you want to take the time and effort without repainting.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an easy fix with after market door jam paint that can be found at hobby shops.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a8 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5673810183\/\"><img width=\"500\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#10 The chassis was a breeze.\u00c2\u00a0 Nice fit, clear lines and clear placement to the molds.\u00c2\u00a0 Study the placements and there shouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be any problems.\u00c2\u00a0 The directions were clear and accurate.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a11 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#11 One of the cool things was the correct 12 bolt rear end.\u00c2\u00a0 This was a nice touch.\u00c2\u00a0 The chassis was painted with rattle can semi-gloss black before assembly.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a14 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5674378728\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" and assembly went in perfectly.\u00c2\u00a0 Follow the directions and there shouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be any problems.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a15 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#15 The interior tub went together nicely.\u00c2\u00a0 The COPO bench seat was used, but there was an option in the kit for bucket seats as well if you choose to build the SS.\u00c2\u00a0 These were painted with camel brown craft paint and a soft \u00c2\u00bc inch brush.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a16 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" width=\"500\" height=\"368\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#16 After the body was mocked up with the chassis\/interior assembly, it appeared that there wouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be any room for the windshield to of the dash.\u00c2\u00a0 A sharp blade was used to remove a very small amount, about the thickness of the windshield.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a18 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" width=\"500\" height=\"392\" \/><\/a>#18 This area was then given a quick sanding with an emery board to smooth is all out.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a19 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" width=\"500\" height=\"384\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#19 A black permanent marker was used to touch up the repair.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a20 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5674379000\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5145\/5674379000_794b43efd7.jpg\" alt=\"a20\" width=\"500\" height=\"441\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#20 The kit offered two sets of bumpers, COPO or SS\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 bumpers.\u00c2\u00a0 The COPO were used for this build.\u00c2\u00a0 The rear tail lights were colored with red permanent marker on the chrome surface of the bumper.\u00c2\u00a0 The clear lens was glued into place using regular model glue.\u00c2\u00a0 The chrome on the gluing surfaces of the bumpers was scraped just a little to give the glue somewhere to hold onto.\u00c2\u00a0 The front running lights were given the same treatment as the real lights, but orange marker was used.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"a21 by dougcole2000, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/29474631@N04\/5674379042\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5108\/5674379042_308170384a.jpg\" alt=\"a21\" width=\"500\" height=\"158\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n#21 The grill was given a wash of thinned flat black paint to add dimension.\u00c2\u00a0 Thin the paint a bit, brush over the grill, allow setting a minute or so, then lightly dabbing off the excess with paper towel.<\/p>\n<p>Final assembly of the bumpers, windshield, door handles and chrome went very well.\u00c2\u00a0 The door handles seemed a bit out of scale, but it was nice that the effort was made by the manufacturer to make the model look more realistic.
