\u00c2\u00a0Looking every bit like a miniature version of a classic monster truck these little workhorse pickups were often fitted with big tires and heavy duty suspensions for show and go. As Revell puts it, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Nissan has made solid pickups since 1934, but it wasn’t until 1958 that they began selling them in American under the Datsun name. As soon as these trucks made their appearance they left an indelible mark on the American truck market. Their trucks were notably smaller, more efficient and less polluting than domestically produced units for little reduction in horsepower. The model 720 was equipped with an overhead-cam 103 horsepower NPS-Z 2.4 liter engine.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

The Datsun pick-up has been a staple in the Revell line up for over 25 years, making it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s reappearance this year in Revell\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Trucks\u00e2\u20ac\u009d line. \"000b\"<\/a> This time around it comes as a ” skill level 2″ (which is a high rating considering the low parts count) glue together model instead of a SnapTite, although everything STILL SNAPS together(?). It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s made up of 50 parts molded in white, with clear windows and headlights, generous chrome, and black vinyl tires. The truck builds up into a stock 720 Datsun shortbed pickup, with some mild 4×4 addon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a simple kit without a lot of parts but that makes it an excellent kit for the novice builder. The hardest part about construction is the decals which can take a little patience. Still, it makes an nice display model for your Off-Roader shelf. Kit features an opening hood, 4-cylinder engine, bumpers and decals.\u00c2\u00a0 The finished dimensions are: Length: 7-3\/8″, Width: 3″, Height: 3-1\/8.”<\/p>\n
