The Jeep was designed in a crash program in 1941 to be used throughout World War II.\u00c2\u00a0 The iconic 4X4 \u00c2\u00bc ton truck was a blend of designs from Willys-Overland, Bantam and Ford and adapted for many roles throughout the war.\u00c2\u00a0 By the time it was over, Willys had produced over 300,000 MB\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s for service to the allies. Dependable and lightweight they provided crucial command and reconnaissance maneuvers in every campaign. The design eventually led to the development of the Jeep CJ (Civilian Jeep) which has become a familiar sight the world over.<\/p>\n
