Ayrton Senna da Silva (March 21, 1960 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c May 1, 1994) began his motorsport career in karting, moving up to open-wheel racing in 1981, and winning the British Formula 3 championship in 1983. He made his Formula One debut with Toleman-Hart in 1984 before moving to Lotus-Renault the following year and winning six Grands Prix over the next three seasons. In 1988, he joined Frenchman Alain Prost at McLaren-Honda. Between them, they won all but one of the 16 Grands Prix that year and Senna claimed his first World Championship. Prost claimed the championship in 1989, and Senna his second and third championships in 1990 and 1991. In 1992, the Williams-Renault combination began to dominate Formula One. Senna nonetheless managed to finish the 1993 season as runner-up, winning five races and negotiating a move to Williams in 1994. He was killed in an accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. He was among the most dominant and successful Formula One drivers of the modern era and is considered by many as the greatest racing driver of all time.<\/p>\n

\nFor the Modeler:<\/strong> This review covers the 2012 release of the Fujimi Ayrton Senna Kart 1993 kit in 1\/20 scale. This kit can be found at online retailers and in full line hobby shops. The kit is a repackage with new parts of the earlier Senna Kart. Fujimi does not \"1\"<\/a> use a Skill Level but this would be a Skill Level 4 for moderate builders due to the parts count and need for paint and glue. The build consists of 45 parts molded in White and Clear with a Metal axle. The decals are waterslide. As the kit manufactured in Japan the instructions are mainly in Japanese with subtext in English. I researched the internet and found reference photos to assist with my build. You get a nicely detailed race kart with a full rail chassis and separate motor. The figure is molded in Clear styrene for some odd reason and I recommend using a White Figure Primer that is thin, something made for gaming figures as it will etch into the plastic. Overall this is a tiny little kit with final dimensions of; Length: 3-3\/4\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, Width: 2-1\/2\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, Height: 2\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n
