The Mirage IIIE built in 1958 was one of the first jet aircraft to breach the Mach 2 barrier. Upgrades in the Mirage IIIE version, including a beefier fuselage and reinforced wings, helped improve the overall load capacity. Designed as a ground attack fighter it evolved nicely in the 30 yrs of service, with armament and an under-wing array of weapons. It also featured the legendary delta wing profile!<\/p>\n

For the Modeler:<\/strong> This review covers the This Skill Level 2 (for ages 10 and up) Mirage IIIE Anniversary kit commemorating its 30 yrs of service (1964-1994) in the 1:48 Scale Italeri Model Kit #2674. It was re-released in 2009 with new parts from the original \"000b\"<\/a> 1980 ESCI kit. They are still available at some online retailers and auction sites.\u00c2\u00a0 It consists of 109 parts.
