1980 was a big year for Ford® trucks.  A huge remodel of their truck line took place. Ford® stepped into the “modern” era with the sleek new look, and it started a streak of the best selling truck line for the next 30 years. Monogram® introduced the Bronco® model not long after the real one was introduced. Over the years I have bought almost every release of this model. What is different is that it is now molded in white.

For the modeler – this is a customizers dream. Tom will show you where there are some things to avoid and fix with the stock parts in this model and take you to a higher level with a scratch built 8” lift kit, off road bumpers, and stock part replacements. Enhancements are plentiful too, through the judicious use of the spare parts box.

i love 1980-1996 ford trucks and broncos but really love the first one 1980-1986 i wish they would do a completly new tool of a 1980 ford f-150 ranger lariat long bed regular cab and a super cab and you are right 1980 took ford into the next millenium as far as i’m concerned 1997 ford f-150 was a mistake the 1999 ford super duty should have been the 97 f-150 or the 2004 f-150 and do you know a good place i can get a monogram 1/32 scale ford bronco with the top

    Ryan,

Thanks for your comments. I’m not sure about the 1/32 scale markings but if I run across them or someone gives me a headsup, I’ll pass that on.
