Midget racing was a racing series with the biggest fan base in the Midwest back in the day. Fairgrounds, stadiums and small tracks brought the race fans close to the excitement of high speed and dirt throwing thrills and spills.

For the Modeler: This is a skill level 3, 1:25 scale Revell Motorsports Series Kurtis Midget Racer kit #85-4267. It includes 112 pieces molded in white, chrome and clear. There’s a nice decal sheet with nostalgic designs and 2 options for numbers. The chrome pieces are nice, clean and bright with many very fine, realistic pieces. The tires included are very realistic. The direction sheet is laid out nicely and it’s easy to follow. The kit also comes with a photo etched instrument panel and steering wheel for the advanced builder. As a bonus this kit comes with a really neat race car trailer. Keep the glue off the windshield – Tony Gibson
