This review covers the Revell 1980 Dodge Ramcharger, Kit# 85-4372 originally produced by Monogram label in 1980.  It has seen three previous releases in 36 years! First was the original release, then in 1981 as a Highroller version with additional parts and again in 1992 in the Gone Fishing version with a Ranger Bass Boat in the original configuration.  And now Revell has re-released this 1 kit in the ORIGINAL version with all new decals.  This is a Skill Level 4 for ages 12 and up and requires 5 hours for assembly. It does show its age in the details and design. There are 96 parts molded in White, Chrome and Clear with Vinyl tires and waterslide decals. The instructions are typical book format. You get a fully detailed motor and some aftermarket wiring would go a long way on this. The chassis is somewhat simplified but the suspension is separate allowing for ease of lifting and changing the tires out. The interior is a basic tub format. There is no real underbody floorpan included but one can be created easily. The body details are crisp and as this mold was not overly used; the details are still sharp. You’ll see some minor flash but also some very heavy sprue tabs. The glass is fairly thin but still substantial. Overall dimensions are: Length: 8-3/16″, Width: 3-7/8″, Height: 3-1/16″.
