For the Modeler: This review covers a unique “transparent” vintage kit: the 1997 Dale Earnhardt NASCAR #3 Monte Carlo Revell 1:25 scale model kit #85-4131.  During the 90’s NASCAR was a hot item for the modeling community. Revell was one of the leaders in the industry with many of the top driver’s cars, Dale Earnhardt being the number one seller! Also the late 90’s was the beginning of the kit manufacturers creating v specialty kits like this one, an ALL CLEAR PARTS KIT with decals in limited production runs. This kit is a is #4131 in the Revell catalog for the 1997 production year and it can still be found at online sites and local hobby shops. The kit is 1/25 scale and based on the OLD skill levels a Skill Level 2 for ages 10 and over. The kit contains 92 clear parts with only the tires being black vinyl. The decals are the silkscreened waterslide type. The instruction sheet is the typical book format. The motor is well detailed and looks nice when finished. The chassis fit is tight and all the parts line up correctly. There is no interior per say, just the seat as the roll cage builds the interior frame. The body was blemish free and only the front fascia and hood is separate. Buildup is straightforward and builds quickly. Finished Dimensions are: Length 8-3/8”, Width: 3-1/8″, Height: 2-3/8″.
