Can you imagine sitting in the driver’s seat of America’s premier sports coupe at the ’72 Sebring race; ripping into a tight corner with a little more sideways drift than you anticipated. No problem – just start easing off the brakes and add some throaty growl from that massive 427 to pull you around in a straight line that quickly becomes – where you were! This modified Rebel was a winner and the lived up to its reputation as a competition racer.
For the modeler, this is the Revell® Motorsports Series 68 Corvette® L88 Rebel Racer in  1/25 scale. This kit is molded in white, chrome and clear with red tail lights and includes 119 pieces with a skill level 2 rating. The kit features altered front and rear generic (without names) tires, and beautiful, bright, clear decals. The kit comes with two options, stock or race versions with flared quarter extensions and non-bumper front. This model also has a removable convertible hardtop and easy step-by-step directions. There is plenty of information in the full review to help you avoid some problems building this kit. Commissioned in June, 1942, the crew and ship known as the U.S.S. Fletcher DD-445 was highly decorated for military success and bravery. On its first mission at Guadalcanal, she sank two Japanese destroyers and seriously damaged a third. Overall, her WWII service garnered fifteen battle stars and she earned five more during the Korean War.
For the modeler this kit features a detailed deck with movable gun turrets and depth charges, plus optional parts to build either the WWII version or the 1949 conversion with rocket launchers. Also includes decals with optional markings and a colorful flag sheet. Rated a Skill Level 2 kit, there are some areas that need modification and some sequence changes described in the full review that will really help ease construction.
