In 1959 Ed “Big Daddy” Roth set the automotive world on its ear when he produced “The Outlaw”. Using a custom built frame and a ’49 Cadillac V-8, he fabricated a “cool” looking hot rod using a technological breakthrough product known as – fiberglass.

This Revell kit is rated as a Skill Level 2 experience.  This is probably understated and should be a Skill Level 3 kit. It needs a steady hand and some patience. In the full review we detail the assembly issues and how to fix any kit problems that you’ll encounter. There are a lot of great ways to detail this kit and it’s pretty cool looking when it’s all done.

Kurtis Kraft racers dominated the open wheel circuit for much of the fifties and this reissue kit makes a great replica of those bygone days. This kit includes 49 pieces including some figures (not used for this review) and a larger-sized piece of clear, thin sheet plastic (to be cut to size for the windshield) and a nice colorful decal sheet.

1953 Indy 500 featuring Kurtis Kraft Racers  All six cars of the front two rows at the start of the race that year were Kurtis Kraft makes. Bill Vukovich won in his #1 Kurtis Kraft/Offy Racer.

All in all, you can have a good time with this kit. These old school kits can be taken for granted, but when you take the time to build one it’s a nice change.  There are lots of ways to add to this kit if you want to go into more detail.  As a box stock kit, it will look good in any collection.

This is a skill level 2 kit and would make a great parent/child project or a great base for the serious modeler. There are several issues addressed for the hobbyist and the fixes are fully described in the Step-by-Step Review.

The U.S. Army surface to surface Corporal Missile was capable of launching a conventional or Atomic missile at ranges over 75 miles with great accuracy enabling a distant attack.  The missile is carried by a large specially designed transporter, which travels to the launching site and erects the missile on to a launching platform.

This review looks at the Revell 85-7852 Corporal Missile with Transporter and Launcher in 1:40 scale.  This kit is from a 1983 mold and was built out-of-the-box (OOB) without any modifications.Â
