For the Modeler: This review covers the release of the Revell ’69 Chevy Yenko Nova in 1/25 Scale. This is Kit # 85-4423 in the current Streetburner Series. This is a re-release (Re-Pop) of previous Revell kits and has seen multiple box arts. The kit is a Skill Level 5 for ages 14 and above and does require glue and paint for assembly. The quality of this kit is still quite good and it is a 1 very nice build with lots of detail if you’re looking for a contest quality kit to work with. You get 111 parts molded in White, Chrome, and Clear and with Vinyl tires and Metal axle pins. The motor and chassis have crisp detailing they’re in multiple parts allowing you to finish and detail easily. The interior has separate door panels and multiple parts and decals for ease of detailing. The body is crisply molded with few blemishes. The decals are a high quality waterslide variety with two color options. You do get typical no brand tires as usual. Overall dimensions are: Length: 7-1/2″, Width: 2-7/8″, Height: 2-1/8″.

For the Modeler: This review covers the Italeri release of the Mad Maestro Motorized Figure  Lindberg Model Kit # HL607. This is a, “Built in the USA” Re-Release (Re-Pop), as the model has seen previous releases but the addition of the Cartograph decals makes this a new kit release for 2016. The kit has no stated scale and is Skill Level 3 based on Lindberg’s ratings for ages 12 and up. The kit 01 has about 29 parts molded in orange styrene and it includes fold out instructions with paint callouts and waterslide decals. Also included is a battery operated (not included) motor and a wring circuit with hardware that must be assembled for motorized operation. The kit can also be constructed as a static model on its base.  The decals are very high quality and easy to use. The instructions are well laid out and come in multiple languages. This is a fun subject kit that builds easily and it’s impossible not to laugh when the “Maestro” goes into his dance.  Finished dimensions are: Figure Height: 7¾” (not including baton), Base: Depth: 4”, Width: 4”.

The kit has about 280 1 parts molded in White, Grey, Black, Steel, Clear, and it includes rubber tires and waterslide decals. This is a Full build kit with a complete chassis and motor assembly that is very detailed. The interior is multiple parts but sparse, just like the real truck..
