Imagine standing in the brilliant sun of the Bahrain Grand Prix as the sound of Ferrari’s magnificent machine whirs around the turn into view. In a split second Felipe Massa skillfully presses on the accelerator of his #7 missile and you see the bright red rocket roar out of sight like a desert mirage.

For the modeler this incredible kit comes with highly detailed features and there are plenty of opportunities to add even more through some prudent scratch building. Special finishing techniques like decanting spray can paint and modified procedure sequences are carefully explained to make this kit a standout model. Revell continues their tradition of producing kits of Formula 1 cars in 1/24 scale with the 2010-season Ferrari F10.   Packaged in Revell Germany’s typical end-opening box, this Skill 3 kit contains 96 parts.

The 1971 Plymouth® GTX (Grand Turismo LuXury) shown here in car show mode (hood off for viewing) was supposed to ring in Plymouth’s® new age of the muscle car However, The GTX as a model name ended with this version. From ’72 to ’75 GTX become an option package for the Road Runner. The creation of the EPA and the oil crisis of the early ’70’s proved to be the death knell of muscle cars.

For the modeler this Revell® kit is a skill level 2 kit and while the assembly is pretty straightforward the decals are tricky for the novice. There is a good deal of detail in the suspension systems (front and rear) but engine details are lacking. The body details are excellent.  Still the kit is a joy to build and ends up as a very nice display piece for modelers and especially Mopar® fans. This kit comes in the 440 six-pack version containing 57 parts and a decal sheet. Some ease of assembly procedures are explained in detail to help construction go more easily in the Step-by-Step review. Overall, this is a nice kit and flashes back to those muscle car glory days!

If you’ve ever been to an NHRA drag meet you know the incredible rush when the light turns green and the thunder roars off the starting line. This kit, along with the companion Chi-Town Hustler model will bring back those memories in vivid detail. This review examines the Revell 1/25 scale Hawaiian Dodge® Charger™ NHRA Funny Car. A skill level 3 kit with 102 pieces molded in white, chrome and clear. The decals were outstanding with clean, bright chrome and a nice direction sheet. If you’re into dragsters this kit should be in your collection. Revell stepped it up on this one.

For the modeler – There are a few issues with the instructions that are fully explained in the Step-by-Step review. Tony Gibson also goes into detail on finishing and assembly tips. Total build time for this award winning build kit was about 45 hours.
