For the modeler:  This review covers the AMT re-release of the Klingon K’T’Inga-Class battle cruiser from Round2. The kit is “ROUGHLY” 1/537 Scale and is Kit # AMT794 in the current catalog. AMT has released this kit in multiple box arts through the years and this version is dated 2014. Round 2 rates this as a Skill Level 2 as it requires glue and double wide model kit box paint for assembly. You will get about 30 parts molded in an Off-Green color with a Black dome base and metal rod. The instruction sheet is a Fold out and includes a full paint guide. Only 4 colors are needed and the instructions include Testors Model Master Brand exact call-out colors. Full color waterslide decals are also included for the few markings on the ship. This kit is an exact re-pop of all previous versions and includes the Torpedo Tube which requires some adjustment to fit properly! Overall assembly is easy and done in sub-assemblies modules.  The rest of the fit is good and there was almost no Flash or other blemishes noted that needed attention.   The finished dimensions are; 16″ long, 10.5″ wide, 8″ high on base.

One of Star Trek modelers’ favorite ships flies back to the market with this re-release of the U.S.S. Excelsior from Round2/AMT! Unlike the previous release of the kit this edition features newly tooled parts that more accurately portray the ship and includes options to build either the NX-2000 version or the NCC-2000 version. ALSO, take your U.S.S. Excelsior kit to the next level with the fantastic new decal set from AMT! These high quality water-slide decals are produced by Cartograf. They offer excellent adhesion and wrap around the contours of the model. These Aztec decals provide coverage over nearly the entire model. The set includes bonus ship registry pennants and numbers for the U.S.S. Hood, U.S.S. Valley Forge and U.S.S. Melbourne and includes two “Strongback” color schemes. Any Star Trek fan should love this re-release, and with the Aztec decals it is a winner!

For the Modeler:  This review covers the UPDATED Re-release of the U.S.S. Excelsior by AMT with the Hull plating Aztec decals (AMT part # MKA017) also released as an additional accessory. The kit has seen multiple previous releases as both the Excelsior and Enterprise B over the years and this is time includes updates for more accurate details and allows 1 for both the NX and NCC versions to be built. It is 1/1000 scale and Skill Level 2 for ages 10 and over. The kit has almost 50 parts molded in White and Clear and includes a Black base with a Metal rod. The decals are Waterslide and include all major markings, stripe, phasers and windows. The kit is built in modules and assembled in one final assembly. Fit and finish is good. The AZTEC decals come on 3 standard size sheets of paper and are waterslide decals with almost no carrier around each individual decal. The color registry is sharp and the printing is perfect. You get all the plate and hull designs with all the colored parts of the ship. This eliminates the need to paint all but the base color of the model.  Overall dimensions are: Length: 18”, Width: 5-1/2”, Height: 8” on the base.

The Color Me Gone II car was not only built, it was also driven by Roger Lindamood who was a Chrysler transmission lab technician. The engine that was in the car was a 426 big block that was able to do a quarter mile in 12 seconds.

For the modeler:  This review covers the Color Me Gone II 1964 Dodge 300 Super Stock 1:25 Scale AMT Model Kit #987.  It is a Skill Level 2 kit for the intermediate builder.  There are 143 pieces molded in white, chrome, clear, black vinyl tires with water slide decals. 000b  Lindberg has released a few versions of the model kit and now Round2 has re-released this version as an AMT kit with new box art. The moldings are in very good shape and the decals have been rendered nicely.  The finished dimensions are; 8¼” L, 3” W, & 2¼” H.
