How to Build the Caravelle French Airliner Lindberg 1-96 Scale Model Kit #HL513 Review

Review and Photos for Right On Replicas, LLC by Doug Cole
The French Caravelle jet airliner was the first short/medium range commercial passenger plane to see operation. Produced by SNCASE (later SUD Aviation) its first flight took place in 1955 and began regular flights in 1959. The Caravelle was such a successful design that they were even sold to the US market when United Airlines ordered 20 units. The Caravelle design initiated the rear-mounted engine, swept-wing design that endures to this day. As a testament to its engineering, the aircraft wasn’t retired until 2005.
For the Modeler: This review covers the Lindberg Caravelle French Airliner 1:96 Scale Model Kit #HL513. Round2 rates this kit a skill level 3 for advanced modelers. There are 120 pieces on three trees molded in white and clear plastic. This package recalls the era when model manufacturers competed by packing as much detail into their designs as possible.  This
model has been around since the seventies in Lindberg kits but this unique iteration features a clear plastic port side fuselage for a see-through display. The entire interior is visible from the port side including the forward, aft, and a fully detailed passenger cabin. There are also six passenger and crew figures along with an aircraft boarding ramp. Additionally, this kit has working elevators, ailerons and stabilizers and fully functional landing gear and flaps. This model comes with upgraded Cartograph decals and a four page book-style instruction sheet with paint callouts. As a bonus, this kit is “Made in the USA.† Overall dimensions are: Length: 13â€, Wingspan: 14â€, Height 3½â€. The display stand is 4†in Diameter and Height is 3½â€.

How to Build the 1977 AMC Pacer Wagon 1-25 Scale AMT Model Kit #1008 Review

Review and Photos for Right On Replicas, LLC by Alan Mann
For the Modeler: This review covers the Re-release of the AMC Pacer Wagon by Round 2 under the AMT brand. This kit has seen a few re-pops over the years in different box arts. This is Kit #AMT1008 in the current catalog and is a 1/25 scale kit. This is the Retro Deluxe version which has all of the original parts and add-ons with a new decal sheet. The box has no
Skill Level on it but this would be a Skill Level 3 as it requires glue and paint. In the box you will get 111 parts molded in White, Chrome, Clear and Tinted Clear and Clear Red. There are Vinyl tires and a Plastic set of tires and Metal axles. The decals are Waterslide and the instructions are fold out. The motor has many of the parts molded on it but the detail is fairly nice. The chassis has decent details and is of normal expectations for AMT of the 70’s . The interior details are decent but door panel molding is a tad light and as is the dash details. And no decals are included for interior details. The body does have two versions, a Stock and Custom. The custom body makes a neat Panel Wagon with a cool front end. The only decals allow for a Hungarian Take Out style restaurant… There are no custom stripes or wood panels. Overall the car measures: Length: 6-1/2â€, Width: 3â€, Height: 2-1/2â€.

How to Build the Blazing Bison Pulling Tractor 1:25 Scale AMT Model Kit #1006 Review

Review and Photos for Right On Replicas, LLC by Alan Mann
For the Modeler: This review covers the Round 2 Blazing Bison Pulling Tractor 1:25 Scale AMT Model Kit #1006. This is a re-release the Meister Brau “The Blazing Bison†pulling tractor that has not been seen since its original release in 1986! This kit is a Skill level 3 for ages 12 and over and requires glue and paint. This is the first time this kit has been re-
popped and Round 2 uses the same box cover but has removed the Meister Brau logos and references from the artwork making this a more generic puller with just the truck’s name on it with no major sponsorship. In the box you will get what they call the Retro Deluxe version, (ORIGINAL RELEASE). There are over 150 parts molded in Yellow, Chrome, Black and Vinyl tires with a Metal axle. The decals are Waterslide and the instruction sheet is fold out. The Kit comes with three huge blown motors that are begging to be wired. There is little else but fuel lines to run. You’ll have to take your time on this kit as fit and finish require extra effort for this old mold design. Overall dimensions are : ~ Length: 8â€, Width: 5â€, Height: 3â€.
