How to Build the 1980 Dodge Ramcharger 1:24 Scale Revell Model Kit #85-4372 Review

Review and Photos for Right On Replicas LLC by Alan Mann
This review covers the Revell 1980 Dodge Ramcharger, Kit# 85-4372 originally produced by Monogram label in 1980. It has seen three previous releases in 36 years! First was the original release, then in 1981 as a Highroller version with additional parts and again in 1992 in the Gone Fishing version with a Ranger Bass Boat in the original configuration. And now Revell has re-released this
kit in the ORIGINAL version with all new decals. This is a Skill Level 4 for ages 12 and up and requires 5 hours for assembly. It does show its age in the details and design. There are 96 parts molded in White, Chrome and Clear with Vinyl tires and waterslide decals. The instructions are typical book format. You get a fully detailed motor and some aftermarket wiring would go a long way on this. The chassis is somewhat simplified but the suspension is separate allowing for ease of lifting and changing the tires out. The interior is a basic tub format. There is no real underbody floorpan included but one can be created easily. The body details are crisp and as this mold was not overly used; the details are still sharp. You’ll see some minor flash but also some very heavy sprue tabs. The glass is fairly thin but still substantial. Overall dimensions are: Length: 8-3/16″, Width: 3-7/8″, Height: 3-1/16″.

How to Build the USS Springfield 1:500 Scale Renwal Model Kit #85-0602 Review

Review and Photos for Right On Replicas LLC by Steven Hardwick
The U.S.S. Springfield had a long and decorated career serving in two different classes, commissioned in 1944 as a Cleveland light cruiser. Serving in the Pacific at the end of WWII earning two battle stars, its primary role was anti aircraft support; however, did do some off shore bombardment during island invasions. In 1957 it was taken to the ship yards and three years later returned to service in the Mediterranean as flag ship for the 6th Fleet. It had been converted to a Providence class guided missile ship, serving in the 70’s as flag ship to the 2nd Fleet. Finally in 1974 it ended its career and was scrapped.

For the Modeler: This review covers the Re-release of the U.S.S. Springfield by Revell under the Renwal Blueprint Series. This is a Skill Level 4 kit and is in 1:500 scale. This kit contains over 100 parts molded in light gray. The kit includes waterslide decals and paper signal flags. The kit itself has seen multiple releases since the original 1960’s release. Renwal included decals
for U.S.S. Springfield (#7) only. The overall construction is straight forward and the build goes together well. As this is an older mold design, you’ll need to take your time and test fit the parts and remove any flash or pin marks you find. Final dimensions are: Length: 14-3/4â€, Width: 1.5â€, Height: 5â€.

How to Build the 1930 Ford Model A Coupe 1:25 Scale Revell Model Kit #85-4326 Review

Review and Photos for Right On Replicas LLC by Alan Mann
For the Modeler: This review covers the 1930 Ford Model A Coupe 1:25 Scale Revell Model Kit #85-4326. This issue is a NEW MOLD kit using some pre-existing parts that were from a previous release. While the ’30 Ford Model A Coupe is an overall new mold the Chassis and suspension has been recycled from the ’29 Roadster kit. I call this a Re-Conditioned kit. This kit is Skill Level 5 for ages
14 and up and requires 7 hours or so of construction time. You get 151 parts molded in White, Chrome and Clear. There are Vinyl tire and metal pins. The Waterslide decals have four design options, as well as, the typical book format instruction sheet. In this build you will find a very highly detailed Small Block Chevy… It even has two intake choices. You also get two complete frames to choose from and suspension choices too. There are also two interior and wheel rim options. You can build the body as a Coupe or Chop Top! There are options galore in this build! But only one tire set. Overall dimensions are: Length: 5-3/4″, Width: 2-5/8″, Height: 2-1/2″.
